Ya Ustaadha, the answer for the last question within the tabi’een section is within the question itself…

    • Assalaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu…

Jazakallaahu khayran for the correction ahky, i didn’t noticed it pardon me, i’ll fix it InshaAllaah, and it will be a bonus question for those who answered first.

By the way ahky, I’m not an Ustadja, I’m just a student of knowledge, who wants to learn her Deen, Bi’idnillaah, and share whatever articles and knowledge i’ve learned throughout this process, InshaAllaah.

May Allaah guide us to the straight path Ameen.

  15. As Salamu Alaikum ukhti Filla it says in the first question is Allah everywhere? i clicked on False because according to the Aqeedah of the Salaf Allah is Istawa above His Throne in a manor that suits His Majesty, Allah is Above His creation and not in His creation there are many text from the Qur’an and Sunnah stating this, hence we cannot say Allah is everywhere, thus the answer of true being incorrect..

“Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven Allah, will not cause the aerth to sink with you and then it should quake/ Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been my Warning.” Quran 67: 16-17

    The Messenger Salallahu alayhi wa Salam told us that His Lord is in the heavens. it is narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah Salallahu alayhi wa Salam said;

“Do you not trust me when i am the trustee of the One Who is in the Heaven, and the Revelation comes to me from heaven morning and evening?” Bukhari 8/66 hadith no 4351.

I would say this is a genuine mistake ukhti filla i needs to be rectified bi’thnillah.

    • Wa’alaykum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu..

Yes your answer is correct…i didn’t get what you mean uhkty fillah, as a matter of fact my answer to that question is false…if you can see on the last page of the result upon taking the quiz the answer will show up so if you answered False then you get the correct question right..:) If you can review the question again and look at the last part you can see the answer inshaAllaah…

As a matter of fact i have a post about that here in my blog you can read it…

  23. On the ‘aqeedah test; Question 8 seemed a little odd as there is a valid ikhtilaaf (difference of opinion) on the issue… Bin Baaz says it is haraam whereas Al-Albaani says it is legit. According to other scholars, it depends on the nature of the woman itself… Ibn Taymiyyah says visiting the graves could either be impermissible, disliked, permissible, or recommended, depending on the purpose/intention for the visit. He claims that there is no real one answer for this question… Nevertheless, I guess its a question on which there is valid ikhtilaaf. maybe asking if the scholars had ikhtilaaf on the issue could be a replacement to the question.

And question 10 could be re-phrased from “There are 3 pillars of ‘Ibaadah” to something like “What are the are 3 pillars of ‘Ibaadah?”

    • Assalaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu..

Jazakallaahu khayran for your comments inshaAllaah i will be fixing those error soon and i will transfer it to a more nicer quiz maker..

As for the visiting of the grave for women i took my question here..

The correct view is that it is not allowed for women to visit graves, because of the hadeeth mentioned. It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed women who visit graves. Women should stop visiting graves. The woman who visited a grave out of ignorance (of this ruling) is not to blame, but she should not do it again. If she does so, she has to repent and seek forgiveness, and repentance cancels out whatever came before. Visiting graves is only for men. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Visit graves, for they will remind you of the Hereafter.” At the beginning of Islam, visiting graves was not allowed for men and women alike, because the Muslims were new in Islam and came from a background where grave-worship and attachment to the dead were widespread. So they were forbidden to visit graves as a preventative measure, to avoid evil and prevent shirk. But once Islam was well-established and they understood Islam, Allaah prescribed visiting the graves because of the lessons and reminders of death and the Hereafter involved in that, and so that they could make du’aa’ for the deceased and pray for mercy for them. Then Allaah forbade woman to do that – according to the most correct of the two scholarly opinions – because they may present a temptation to men and even to themselves, and because they have little patience and they get too upset. So by His mercy and kindness towards them, Allaah forbade them to visit graves. This is also a form of kindness towards the men, because if they were all to gather at the grave, this might cause fitnah. So by His mercy, Allaah forbade women to visit graves.

But with regard to the prayer (women praying the funeral prayer), there is nothing wrong with that. Women may join the funeral prayer. The prohibition applies only to visiting the graves. Women should not visit graves according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, because of the ahaadeeth which indicate that that is forbidden. She does not have to offer any kafaarah, all she has to do is repent.

From Fataawa wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwi’ah li Samaahat al-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), vol. 9, p. 282

  24. On the Tawheed (part 1) questions;

Q1 should have the answers of “Yes/No” rather than “True/False”

In Q6 the word “inconspicuous” needs a capital letter as the forst word, as all the other answers begin with a capital letter…

In Q7 maybe specifying the author (Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdil Wahhaab) who said there are 10 nullifiers, as this is just a categorisation, and scholars have listed other numbers according to their own way they see the proofs. For example Waseelah has been categorised by Al-Albaani as 3 however other scholars have categorised them in other numbers like 4, 6, or 7. I believe Ibn ‘Uthaymeen categorised them as 7…. Point being, stating the author who categorised them into 10 in the question would be good… Also if you could put the numbers (9,12,10,7) in ascending order (7, 9, 10, 12) as it is easier to see the answers that way…

Q8 seems totally confusing…. As, although your referring to Major/Minor, but in a question before this one, you mentioned hidden shirk as well. Furthermore some scholars categorised shirk into 6 different types, some into 12 and some in other numbers…

In Q9, maybe having the meaning of the words as some may not be familiar with the words asghar, akbar and khafi. Likewise, the option “all of the above” should be the fourth option rather than the third option, as that may cause confusion. Also there seems to be words that start with caps locks and others which dont… Sort of odd…

Also sometimes you spell “Allaah” as “Allaah” and sometimes as “Allah”… Should be a double “a” after the “l”…

  25. broeder_ahmed says:

    Salaam oe alaykoem

I had make de Quiz on Tawheed.
    The ninth question it says:

It is a type of shirk that cannot be forgiven by Allah (subhana wa taala) and whoever dies while committing it will not be able to enter Jannah.
    As answer you can choose:
    Shirk asghar
    Shirk Khafi
    Shirk akbar
    All of the Above

I choose for Shirk Akbar. But the correct answer the quiz says ALL of the ABOVE.

I always learned that only Shirk Akbar can never be forgiven when you die while commiting it.

    Can you explain?
    barakallahu fiekie

    • Wa’alaykum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu…

I checked it ahky and its working well the answer is Shirk Akbar, sometimes the poll daddy is having some trouble its not reliable that it will create error. It also happened to one of my sisters in islam when she took her quiz, the number 1 question of this Tawheed quiz also. But you can take the quiz again for you to find it out. InshaAllaah when i find a better quiz maker i will all transfer that because sometimes things goes wrong with this poll i used.I can’t even see your score because there is just minimun numbers which can be see in this poll daddy thing.

      Barakallaahu feekum and Hayakallaah.

  26. Bilal says:

Q.4 Is witr prayer fard and wajib?

can somebody explain this question to me?
fard and wajib are the same thing the are both things we must do
i answered “true” and its say’s its not correct?

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,

“Witr is a duty, so whoever does not perform witr is not of us,” and he repeated it three times. [Abu Dawud and Ahmad; the hadith is sound, as discussed by Zayla`i in Nasb al-Raya (2.112) and`Ayni in `Umdat al-Qari Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari (7.11);]

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has added a prayer for you, and it is Witr, so pray it between ‘Isha’ and Fajr.”

Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah 9108).

According to the Hanbalis it is Sunnah Muakkadah but a very stressed one so that according to Ahmad bin Hanbal ones testimony is not valid if one neglets it.

Imam Ahmad said ” Whoever neglects Witr is a bad man whose testimony should not be accepted. This indicates that Witr prayer is something that is confirmed.” Thus showing its great importance.

    • Assalaamu `alaykum brother Bilal,

Because the correct answer is false… Witr is not fard and wajib But Sunnah Mukkadah..

Q: A questioner fromAl-Qasim,Buraydah,asks: Regardingthe ruling on Witr (Prayer with an odd number of units),is it Wajib (obligatory) or Mustahab (desirable)?

      ( الجزء رقم : 10، الصفحة رقم: 121)

A:Witr prayer is Sunnah (supererogatory act of worship following the example of the Prophet). According to the Jumhur (dominant majority of scholars), it is Mustahab not obligatory, because after the Prophet (peace be upon him) stated the Five Obligatory Daily Prayers, he was asked by some:”Am I obliged to pray anything else besides this?” He (the Holy Prophet) said: “No, except that which you pray voluntarily out of your own free will.”Therefore, Witr and all supererogatory prayers including but not limited to Salat-ul-Duha (supererogatory Prayer before noon) are desirable not obligatory prayers.

      _____________________________________________

      Imam Al-Nawawi’s Riyad-us-Saliheen
      Chapter 205
Witr Prayer, its Time and Ruling

1132. `Ali (bin Abu Talib) (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Witr prayer is not obligatory as the prescribed Salat (prayers), but the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) observed it as his regular practice (Sunnah). He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Allah is Witr (single, odd) and loves what is Witr. So perform Witr prayer. O followers of Qur’an, observe Witr (prayer).”
      [At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud].

Commentary: “Witr” literally means odd number. “Allah is Witr” means He is One in Attributes and Actions and has no equal. Witr prayer is also called Witr for the reason that it is performed in one, three, five and seven Rak`ah. It is not permissible to perform it in an even number, like two, four, six, eight etc. Thus, we learn from this Hadith that Witr is not Fard and Wajib but Sunnah Mu’akkadah (compulsory). But it would not be correct to show any slackness in performing them to this reason because every Muslim should do his level best to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam).

      _________________________________
      Fard and wajib mean the same with all The madhaahib {Malikiyyah, Shafiyyah and Hanabilah} except the Hanafiyyah, for them fard is that which is established by a daleel qatee i.e. meaning that which is found in the Quran or ahadeeth mutawatir (so many sahabahs narrated the hadeeth it is impossible for it to be false in any way), and wajib is that which is established by daleel dhani i.e. all ahadeeth which do not reach the level mutawatir, which translates into the majority of the ahadeeth. All this goes back to differences in priciples of fiqh, it suffices to know that the majority of the scholars reject this differentiation, for they say fard and wajib is one and the same, and this is the correct opinion inshallah. And probably the following will clarify what i am saying, like with the issue of witr salah and it being wajib or not;

With that in mind, does one have to perform acts that are wajib ie. Witr
prayer, or is there sin in leaving it?

As for the witr prayer what has been established from the prophetic guidance of Muhammad ibn Abdullah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is that he would never leave of the witr salah or the sunnah before fajr whether travelling or resident, this is why the scholars differ about which of the two is more emphasised: witr or sunnat’ul fajr, and it is very hard to say which of the two one should place more emphasis as ibn Qayyim said in his amazing book “Zad Al ma’ad”. However, overall the majority of the scholars say that witr is a sunnah mu’akaddah {i.e. the messenger never left it off – highly emphasised sunnah} and it is not wajib. And the only ones to differ with this are the Hanafiyyah who say that witr is wajib and not fard, based on the fact that it is not mentioned in the quran and that hadeeth about it are not mutawatir, but rather they are ahaad ahadeeth, thus they say it is wajib and the one who leaves it off is a sinning.

However, the other scholars refute this oponion by the following ahadeeth and arguments:

      1. The hadeeth of Narrated Talha bin ‘Ubaidullah in saheeh Al Bukhari:

A man from Najd with unkempt hair came to Allah’s Apostle and we heard his loud voice but could not understand what he was saying, till he came near and then we came to know that he was asking about Islam. Allah’s Apostle said, “You have to offer prayers perfectly five times in a day and night.” The man asked, “Is there any more (praying)?” Allah’s Apostle replied, “No, but if you want to offer the Nawafil prayers (you can) ……………{all the way to the end of the hadeeth after mentioning zakat and sawm}. And then that man retreated saying, “By Allah! I will neither do less nor more than this.” Allah’s Apostle said, “If what he said is true, then he will be successful (i.e. he will be granted Paradise).”

Thus this is a clear proof that salah is 5 times a day and not 6, and the messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) guaranteed him paradise if he kept his word by only praying five times a day, indicating that he is not be considered a sinner if he leaves it it off witr salah.

      2. The hadeeth of muadh ibn Jabal went he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent him to Yemen to call the people there to Islam, he told him:Yemen: “That you are going to a people who are from the People of the Book: So the first thing to which you call them should be the testimony that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala ).” – And in another narration: “that they testify to the Oneness of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala ).” – “And if they obey you in that, then inform them that Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala ) has made compulsory upon them five prayers every day and night…………….{Al Bukhari and Muslim}.

Another clear proof that witr is not wajib.

      3. Also from observation one would realise that witr has no particular time {except that it is after ishah}, there is no adhan for it or iqamah, nor is i prayed in jamah as opposed to all the other salah, and finally one can pray witr while actually travelling as narrtaed bi ibn Umar in Al Bukhari:”The messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to perform his witr while on camel’s back and he did not used to perform his five daily prayers on it {camel’s back}” and it is quite known one cannot perform his fard /wajib salah while sitting {if he has the ability to stand}.

      4. As for the ahadeeth like “whoever does not perorm witr is to from us” and “Indeed, Allah has increased your {numberof} salah, so guard it and it is witr” which they use as proof for the obligation of witr they are all daef as the Hanafi scholar of hadeeth Az Zu’aylee stated in his great book “Nasb Ar Raayah Fee Takhareek Al Hadeeth f’il Hadiyyah”. Which is book explaining the grade of authenticty {or weakness} for the ahadeeth in one of the most popular books of Hanafi fiqh.

So, with all of this in mind it is clear that witr is not wajib,
