And Walk Not On The Earth with Conceit And Arrogance

Allaah (subhanahu wa taala) said:  ”And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height”. 17:37

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said:  That is: being proud, haughty, arrogant and exalting oneself above the truth and the creation. Indeed, this action of yours will neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height through your pride; rather you are debased in the Sight of Allaah and in the sight of the creation, hated and detested. Indeed, you have acquired the most evil and despicable of qualities, whilst not being able to achieve what you desire.

About Umm Abdulazeez

"I am a Muslim who is upon the Qur'aan and the Sunnah and upon the methodology of the Salaf As-Saalih (Pious Predecessors). And that can be said in short by saying, 'I am a Salafee' " [Shaykh Al-Albaanee رحمه الله] ________ Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (rahimahullaah) said: “Indeed knowledge should only be learned for the purpose of fearing Allaah. Indeed, knowledge has been given virtue over other than it because with it Allaah is feared.” [Jaam'i Bayaan al-'Ilm wa Fadlihi by Imaam Ibn Abdil-Barr (rahimahullaah)]
