Making Allaah Your Priority

Therefore be diligent in ensuring that you only have one priority – that priority being Allaah alone, as in this objective is a worshiper’s happiness. The one who is in this state finds that he is in a present state of contentment, having entered a worldly paradise before reaching the Paradise of the Hereafter. As some people have said, “Certainly, the heart passes through times during which I say, ‘If the people of Paradise are in a state like this, then indeed they are enjoying a superior life.’” Another one has said, “Indeed there times in which my heart seems to dance with happiness.” And another one said, “Oh the poor ones of this world! They are those who depart from this world without having tasted the benefit of what is found within it.” So it was said, “And what is the best of what can be found within it?” He replied, “Truly knowing about Allaah, having love for Him, finding contentment in nearness to Him, and being delighted in your meeting with Him.”

About Umm Abdulazeez

"I am a Muslim who is upon the Qur'aan and the Sunnah and upon the methodology of the Salaf As-Saalih (Pious Predecessors). And that can be said in short by saying, 'I am a Salafee' " [Shaykh Al-Albaanee رحمه الله] ________ Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (rahimahullaah) said: “Indeed knowledge should only be learned for the purpose of fearing Allaah. Indeed, knowledge has been given virtue over other than it because with it Allaah is feared.” [Jaam'i Bayaan al-'Ilm wa Fadlihi by Imaam Ibn Abdil-Barr (rahimahullaah)]
